Building a modern office for our sister company, Nomad Capital, while preserving the charm of an old brick building in the historic district downtown Wilmington was an exciting challenge. Our team of architects and designers came up with a plan that respects the historic elements of the building while incorporating modern amenities that enhance functionality and productivity. The project involved preserving the original brick façade, creating an open-concept layout, incorporating energy-efficient features, and adding technology advancements necessary for a modern workspace. We aimed to create a space that retains the historic character of the old brick building, while incorporating the latest technology to provide Nomad Capital with a beautiful and efficient office that meets their current needs and future growth.

It all begins with an idea. Years back, ELM BUILDERS took on the exciting challenge of fully renovating the Lighthouse hotel, a staple in the Kure Beach, NC community. The original building had a lot of character and history, but needed some serious updating to bring it up to modern standards. With a team of skilled designers, contractors, and architects, we were able to completely transform the hotel into a stunning showpiece. From top to bottom, the hotel was gutted and rebuilt with high-end finishes, modern amenities, and a fresh, beachy vibe. Now when you walk into the Lighthouse hotel, you'll be greeted by a bright and beautiful space that's filled with natural light, comfortable furnishings, and all the luxuries of a modern hotel. We're thrilled with the results of this renovation, and based on the rave reviews we've been getting from guests, it's clear that they are too!
